Redhat Linux Change Host Name

# echo soaapp > /proc/sys/kernel/hostname
# hostname
soaapp
# /etc/init.d/network restart
Shutting down interface eth0:                              [  OK  ]
Shutting down loopback interface:                          [  OK  ]
Bringing up loopback interface:                            [  OK  ]
Bringing up interface eth0:

                                                           [  OK  ]
