* iTouch model MA623LL running IOS 3.1.3.
* iPhone model MB702LL running IOS 4.2.1.
* iPad model MC820LL running IOS 4.2.1.
iTouch
This particular iTouch is first generation iTouch. It can not be upgraded to IOS 4 or above. As such, you can sync Gmail but not Google Calendar. You’ll need to add CalDAV account for Calendar syncing.
* Got to Settings -> Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Add Account…
* Tap ‘Other’
* Tap ‘Add CalDAV Account’
* Enter ‘Server’, ‘User Name’, ‘Password’, ‘Description’. For example,
Server: www.google.com
User Name: myname@gmail.com
Password: mypass
Description: Google Calendar
* Tap ‘Next’ button.
* Back to Settings -> Mail, Contacts, Calendars. You should see a new account named Google Calendar. Tap it and then tap Advanced Settings, make sure Use SSL is turned on.
iPhone and iPad
* Setup for iPhone and iPad are identical.
* Got to Settings -> Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Add Account…
* Tap ‘Gmail’ icon.
* Enter ‘Name’, ‘Address’, ‘Password’, ‘Description’. The address and password are login info for your Google Calendar account. For example,
Name: My Google Calendar
Address: myname@gmail.com
Password: mypass
Description: Google Calendar
* Tap ‘Next’ button.
* Check Calendars are turned on.
* Tap ‘Save’ button.
Use
* Add/update/delete calendar events in either Google Calendar, iTouch, iPhone or iPad.
* Events are reflected in other devices.
