Download
* Download DTE package, e.g. j-sa-va-dte-7.2R1.1-b20761-package.zip, from Juniper. Note that you need a valid support account in order to download.
* Unzip the package and you’ll get three files:
– README-DTE.txt
– VA-DTE-SA-20761-VT.ovf
– VA-DTE-SA-20761-VT-disk1.vmdk
Convert to ESXi 5.1
Import into Virtual Box
* Open VirtualBox 4.3.0
* Select File > Import Appliance…
* Browse to unzipped VA-DTE-SA-20761-VT.ovf file
* Click Next and then Import
Export from Virtual Box
* After successful import, select newly imported VM
* Click Next
* Change ova to ovf Important!
* Click Next and then Export
Import into VMPlayer
* Open VMPlayer 5.0
* Click Open a Virtual Machine, browse to the exported ovf file
* Click Import
Import into ESXi 5.1
* Open vCenter Converter 5.1 Standalone
* Click Convert machine
* Follow the wizard to convert the newly imported VMPlayer VM into ESXi 5.1
