For Windows 7, there are several places that JRE can be installed. For example, here are the three JREs on my machine. You need to disable auto updates for each<\/em> JRE.
\n* C:\\Program Files\\Java\\jre6<\/em>
\n* C:\\Program Files\\Java\\jdk1.6.0_25\\jre<\/em>
\n* C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Java\\jre6<\/em><\/p>\n

Briefly,
\n* Go to each JRE home’s bin directory
\n* Run javacpl.exe<\/em> program. You may need to run it as an Administrator.
\n* Click the Update<\/em> tab and uncheck Check for Updates Automatically<\/em>.<\/p>\n

If you do not see the Update<\/em> tab, that means the update has already been disabled via registry.<\/p>\n
