Basic Monitoring

Gathering Basic Information about a Gateway Service

* Right click published service and select:
– Active Policy Assertions
– Service Properties
– Revision History

Service Metrics

* View > Dashboard
* Message rate:

* Click on message rate diagram to show metrics on Selection tab with font/back end response time.

* Cluster status

Gateway Audit Events

* View > Gateway Audit Events

Advanced Monitoring

Using Linux CLI

* ssh into layer7 server as ssgconfig
* Select: 3) use a privileged shell (root)
* Enter root password
* Monitor processes:

vmstat 2
ps -ef|grep java
